KeymasterThat is very stange OpenGL behaviour indeed- the installer is supposed to notify you on incompatible OpenGL versions..
That said, you can hold down the Shift key when you start DELFTship- this triggers the ‘Safe Mode’ and bypasses many graphical options. Now you can de-activate DELFTship to re-claim your activation slot:
Go to the “Settings” tab in the main menu. On that tab, click the “Register” button. In the window that opens click the “Deactivate” (in newer versions this is the ‘License management’ ) button to deactivate your license. If the “Deactivate” button is not available, this installation was not (yet) activated.

KeymasterInteresting- haven’t yet heard this before.
Are you sure you import the DXF properly (in Turbocad)? We do not have turbocad, but if you are willing to share the DXF I can see if same applies in our CAD software.

KeymasterUnfortunately we can not go into details regarding the activation process- the only thing I can say has been said: the activation request contains details on your license and the hardware used to generate the request.
If this is not acceptable you could consider installing a Floating license server on a hosted server. The license will then be based on the hardware of the server which is not in-house. This will require the Floating License extension though. The server can run with minimal specs.

KeymasterGlad to hear your problem has gone away…
As for the coordinates area, currently there is nothing you can do to change the background. We’ll have a look if we can do something about this in a next release. No promises though.

KeymasterI can select the line but the “crease” button is not lit up as an option. I found some instructions online but they must be older… please help. thanks
Can you add a screenshot? Normally, the ‘Crease edge’ button is always enabled when an edge is selected- even when that edge cannot be creased. I suspect you have no valid edge selected?

KeymasterHi Bryan,
The activation request, or at least the part you can not interpret, is a digital signature of your machine hardware. As our licenses are bound to the specific hardware on which they are activated we need a way to identify it securely. This is also one of the reasons it is not a ‘clear text’ signature. The same data is used in the license file again, so DELFTship can determine it is indeed running on the machine for which it is activated.
While we do have a way to activate off-grid computers, the activation request file is required in order to activate and create your license file

KeymasterHi John,
Just checked, for me it works. If you create a layers report (layers window, report button) does it work there?
Can you share the model with us so I can look at what is happening?
Maarten
KeymasterHi Urse,
Yes, two points with the same coordinates are not the same point. This is the more tricky part of modeling in DELFTship. The most straightforward approach is to delete the leak points (one at a time!) and then add surfaces to repair the hole that this creates. Make sure that you try to keep faces as regular as you can (each face has preferably 4 edges, and 4 points).

KeymasterHi,
If Windows runs, so should DELFTship. To verify, try the Free version. I am curious to hear the results.

KeymasterHi Urse,
Leak points will break functionality.
I’ve had a (very) quick look at your model, and it seems that you have modeled both sides- in DELFTship it is common to only model the PS half of a vessel, the SB side is mirrored. When doing this do make sure al points at heart ship have a y value of exactly 0.000. Otherwise make sure the layer you are using is set to be asymmetrical (in layer settings menu)
Maarten
KeymasterI can not reproduce this, so I fear there is not much I can do for you until I can.
Have you tried to ‘reset’ the preferences, maybe something went corrupt..?..
Maarten
KeymasterThat’s stange. Which version are you using?
Maarten
KeymasterAh! Can it be that you have DELFTship maximised on your left monitor, and try to move the sub-window outside of the main DELFTship window? The (normally 4) modeling windows are constrained to the main DELFTship program windows.
