ParticipantBeen having more crashes. It seems to be when i perform a change such as point move/align/extrude etc. If i make a mistake and undo then try to move the same point again without deselecting and starting over it crashes. Ive also had trouble when trying to select and change layers. Im using windows 8 and ds pro.
Thanks
Jamie

Participanti believe there are keyboard shortcuts to switch views which may make it easier. you can select and move points in perspective view by using the little box with numbers and the arrows either side

ParticipantI always made my hulls until they were green in the stress boxes. What tolerances are safe to build form as it seems i am out a little bit?

ParticipantHah, you guys are great. Whats the purpose of being able to specify point locations to the 3rd decimal place if the boat isnt even touching them? Also, heres a screenie of what i have so far…
i think this question was answered somewhat but have a second reason.
i draw and build 3m long hard chined planing hulls specifically for jetboating so i am using the crease tool alot. when i am using the crease tool the boat is almost always touching the points

ParticipantI have skyped with Martijn. Managed to get mine working a little more reliably. I have only had a problem once since he told me this.
Turn off automatic updates in delftship program settings. when the splash screen appears it searches for updates and if it cannot gain a connection it freezes. you can still update manually after this.

Participant100mm (4 inches) once your moving. it can actually slide acros a short section of dry ground if need be. its built strong enough.
top speed is around 70 km/h but im hoping my next one will be close to 100kmh. the new supercharged jetskis are 110 km/h so if i use that engine i dont see why not. the current engine is a 3 cylinder two stroke. 780 cc better on gas than the sc ones though.
heres a link to the build forum…Jamie
Participantive also thought that a measuring tool would be useful. select 2 points and get a measurement in a straight line? not sure if thats possible. i know autocad does it
