ParticipantI bougth my Vaio in 2009, I guess is time to change my laptop……

ParticipantNot all the computers has the OpenGL Ada, I have two laptops one is Toshiba the other is Sony Vaio, I updated the software to 7.1 versión in the Toshiba and everhting went well, but I did it in the Vaio to discover that Vaio does not use Open GL, therefore I had to went back to versio 6.35 in the Vaio…
So is better if you check with the computer manufaturer……

ParticipantI still can make the files from Delftship work in michlet, and there is a problema with creating the files of multihulls for michlet in delftship

ParticipantLook for the software Freeship in the web, downloaded and isntalled, then sabe the file that you have in delftship as versión 2.6, that file can be opened with Freeship, and Freeship has the option to calculate the resistance with several methods, including Holtrop-Mennem, and Hollenbach….

ParticipantThere is an icon that says “extract points from markers” if you click it, the curves imported from the dxf as markers will have ponits all over the geometry, all you have to do is create the faces from those points, use 4 points for face whenever is posible…

ParticipantSame result here however, when I do it backwards going from the Delftship file to a DXF and then from DXF to Delftship file, works fine, so I supose that your file is not rigth for some reason.

ParticipantTo be honest i don´t know which could be the problem, can you share the dxf file with me so I can run some test and see what could be the problem??, maybe your dxf file is corrupted, in any case have to be 3d polyline DXF file……

ParticipantFirst open a new file, set the longitudinal number of points to zero, also the vertical number of points to zero
a totally blank screen will appear, from that go to the tools menu, click in the import markers and click it, it will open a screen where you can choose the file where to import the markers from, selected the desired DXF file and acepted, the DXF file will be transfer to Delftship as markers where you can use it to generate the model.

ParticipantThe data that you must enter in the dialog box is the weigth of the layer per cubic feet and the thikness of the layer in feet, that way the system will calculate the weigth and center of gravity of the layer…
