      Howdy from Texas!
I have started modeling a double ender and in the heat of my design I asked to subdivide the controlnet.
I would like to neatly “unsubdivide” the control net to get back to a more planar model.
Of course, I have a lot of work between the subdivision and the need to un-subdivide, so Undo is not an option.
Any tips on an easy way to do this?
      Thanks

You can select edges, and use the “collapse” command to remove them from your model by merging the two connected faces into one.

The collapse command was exactly what I needed.
Thanks very much for your help and quick response.

I have been burning to ask this: Can i use this technique to “stretch” or to “shorten” a hull? It would be neat if there were a feature to ask for one or more areas where lengthening or shortening are desired and what areas of the body are not to be touched (algorithmically modified) in either a manual or automatic re-fairing.

Stated again, but shorter: Can/does D’ship facilitate model resizing without using the automatic or other feature (if i am not currently aiming for optimizing the hull with the tool already in Free, but desperately want to modify the length?

What if you have 1 face where you want to unsubdivide the controlnet?

      I don’t see how you can un-subdivide a single face….
