I’m facing some difficulties since DS doesn’t perform offset of surfaces in an easy way, just like MaxSurf and others. The external walls of tanks in fishing boats have an offset from hull and the tank modeler just makes it flat. If someone found out a way to solve that please let me know.

At this point in time Arthur there is no solution but Marven is awear of this because we talked about an off-set for tanks and Marven explicitly mensioned it would be useful in tanks for fishing boats. Maybe it will be included in an upgrade, there will be one very shortly or it might be included in a future upgrade.

Thank you. I’m trying to export markers and generate manually another surface by new markers with offset from the hull. Let’s see if it works.
      Thank you.

Arthur there is a way to do it but its tricky and you will need a Cad program such as Autocad, Rhino etc
Generate stations in your Delft model say at the beginning of you tank and at every meter until the end of your tank, export the model (3dxf polylines) into your Cad program, delete everything that you dont need, keep the stations that define your outer hull where your tank is and then offset your stations from the original hull. Then create a surface over your tank and if you like you can unroll the surfaces for CNC machines or what ever. Most Cad programs will give you some basic hydrostatics such as enclosed volumes etc.
