I’ve been trying to draw the hull of a Dutch ‘Schippersvlet’.

I’m almost satisfied, except for the crease in the middle of the front part of the boat, but if you like to have the design, you may.

      Hi,
I haven’t see your file yet but you could change the precision of your model to Highest first and see what effect that has.

You can remove the crease as follows:

      1. Make sure the control net is visible.
      2. Set your view to top view
      3. Make sure the two front most points of each row of controlpoints have the same X and Z coordinate.

You mean “subdivide controlnet”. That doesn’t make much difference.

Make sure the two front most points of each row of controlpoints have the same X and Z coordinate.

That’s it (almost)! I think I have to add a few more controlpoints.
      Thanks!

      btw.
The design is based on a 70 years old ‘schippersvlet’.

I’m familiar with that type of boat.
      Very sturdy and characteristic!

I still can’t find the right way to do it. It’s very hard to get the right shape when you add extra edges and controlpoints….
