merge control curves

Hello all,
I have a beginners question:
How can I delete or merge control curves of edges? I have split control curves on an edge line.

You can delete the curve by selecting it and hitting the ‘Delete’ key.  Do make sure you have no additional geometry selected.

You cannot merge control curves, but it is easy to add a new one by selecting the edge you want to add it to, making sure the entire edge is selected. That will add a single curve.
