ParticipantFeature request for DS Pro, base version (not in an extension, please)
I’d really be thrilled/excited if you could make Delftship “modeless” instead of “modal”. It would make things eaiser to be able to tweak points and see their effect in reports and to be able to turn layers on and off and work on our model without having to close the Layer Properties interface.

ParticipantTo my excitement — and, I don’t know why it took me maybe 2 years to notice this much — the Linesplan view does not prevent the user going into the model and editing it. If you move points around, the Linesplan view updates in real time. This, I think, would be a fantastic time to update the rest of the program to behave the same way.

KeymasterUnfortunately that’s not really possible the way the program has been built:(

ParticipantHmmm… how about in version 5? 🙂 Would be grand to see such a feature. But, it sounds as though it might require a whole new software base. Not sure, but it might open up a torrent of API offers if CAD developers wanted to work with you (and, hopefully pay you handsomely without wresting away control of your baby) and make real-time, two-day CADdrostatics (hey, there is a term you could very quickly trademark, since AT THIS MOMENT, google reports there are no standard pages using that term…)
🙂
