ParticipantHello,
I’m looking for a convenient way to enter the lightweight distribution of the ships hull itself.
All I can find is the box “List of weight items” in the loadcases menu.
Here I entered already the total lightship with vcg, tcg and lcg which is good enough for stability calculation. However for the shearforce and bending moment calculation, the entry of the longitudinal distribution of the lightweight is necessary.
From the shipyard booklet I have the lightweight distribution as a large weightlist for each single frame of the vessel.
As there are around 150 frames with corresponding weights, it would be a lot of labour to enter them all as single items in the above mentioned list.
Isn’t there an easier method to do this job?

KeymasterIf you have your weights in excel then you can save it to a .csv file which can be imported into delftship provided your excel file is formatted in a specific way

KeymasterSee the attached sample files.
Note that the value for TCG always is a positive value and there’s an extra column to indicate on which side (PS/CL/SB) it is located.
