I’m trying to export the offsets for a boat that a small shop in CA is building. I searched the archive for useful info about the offset table but it seems everyone wants to import rather than export offsets. I’d like to send the builder a table of offsets with a conventional layout (feet, inches, eighths )but anything will do as long as they can understand them. What is the layout in the offsets export? I’ve attached the text file i get as an offsets table. Can anyone clarify for me what exactly I’m looking at? Left columns are stations, what the heck is the rest? Thanks ! Hi , you’ll find all these info at the DS Manual, section 6.3 on pages 19 to 22.
Basically,in the middle of the table are the half beam (breadth) for each stations. The last line is the stem (X coordinates), above half beam the stern (X coord.)and water lines. On the right of 1/2 breadth – we’ve 3 columns, the 1st and 2nd are the sheer (z and y coord.) the last one the profile at center (z coord) for each station.

Thanks. I must have had an old version of the manual – i don;’t remember that being in there but I might also have just missed it!
