I’ve imported the markers from DXF file successfully and picked “Points from markers”.
What’s the next steps?I checked in the tutorial, but when I pick line segments so they become yellow, then the segment in my model are going across the geometry.
Is the next step to create faces from the points? Should I make quad’s or triangles?
Which direction should the normals point to? Out from hull?Ole

As I understand, the DXF files cannot include any geometries such as splines, patches.
The DXF file can only consist of points, so you need to insert faces into your hull.Remember to put correct origin, and correct coordinate system. X is positive from aft to bow, Y is positive from starboard to port. Z is positive from keel to deck.
The origin is located the base line, at aft perpendicular. As a rule of thumb, the aft perpendiular is located at the center of the rudder.

ParticipantThere is an icon that says “extract points from markers” if you click it, the curves imported from the dxf as markers will have ponits all over the geometry, all you have to do is create the faces from those points, use 4 points for face whenever is posible…
