Well, after a lot of work using Delftship, I completed my layout style marsh boat that I began designing a year ago. I thought I would share this as I don’t see many posts of people showing the fruits of their labor using the program. I have to say this was the best $200 I’ve ever spent. Thanks for making such a great app!

      very good job!
do you know the lightweight of your boat ?
have you measure the max speed ?

And i would also be interested in your building technique.
It looks like GFK? But i think not suitable for negative forming .. do you build a positive form before ? And of which material ?

      Thanks for sharing !

      Best regards,
      Soeren

      Soeren,

Thanks for the kind words. I built it using stitch and glue construction using epoxy. The core material is Plascore PP Honeycomb. Due to my lack of experience and a problem with the Plascore board (the company came back and made it right) it’s a little heavy at 180lbs. The next build will be much lighter. I don’t know the max speed as the motor I use was a little small for it (6.5hp). I know I had it at over 10mph at one point.

      Hello,

I am having trouble learning how to move to the next level of DELFTship so I can model a flats boat I am working on. Can you guide me to additional learning material etc. Any help is appreciated.
