ParticipantAfter the installation of the menu items are displayed incorrectly. Possibly missing fonts. What should I do?

KeymasterOpen the preferences window, and set the program language back to English.
The preferences window can be found under the file menu, the second option from the bottom of the file menu (see image)Attachments: -

ParticipantOK. But the menu type of font is also incorrect (not English!). Where can I set it?

KeymasterUse the second option from the bottom, as described in my previous response.
The File menu is the left most option in the main menu. -

The type of font of report is may be to set. How can I to set the font of language. The problem is, the program font can’t to display the hungarian long letters.

Ah, now I understand!
The font used in the menus by the program is determined by Windows. The font for the reports can also be set in the preferences window on the Report tab, see image below.

ParticipantPlease look the picture and tell me: what is the problem about it? The wrong letters are long letters and in other programs looks like good (ú, ő, ű).

ParticipantNo, a problem is not in those fonts which reports and plans are displayed, but in fonts of the screen menues and forms. After choosing of language “Russian”, for example, we see on the screen that letters from the extended font set are displayed as the western alphabet symbols with diacritical marks – instead of cyrillic:

ParticipantUpdate: Delftship also won’t save location of last edited file, if there is non-latin letters in the path (in my case, c:Program FilesDelftshipБиблиотека чертежейAVNAVN_Dinghy.fbm). After restart program it is impossible to open it with “File – Recent files…” menu.

Participant(upd) Marven, I dunno what the soft is used for compiling program, but maybe you’ll try to set ‘Wide’ or ‘Unicode’ parameter somewhere with ‘Ansi’ function strings?

KeymasterDislucky,
The older translations don’t use unicode strings, but UTF8
More recent versions of the software support widestrings (UTF16) but the translation program needs to be written in order to make full use of this feature. I’ll need to do this anyway in oder to support Chinese etc but there don’t seem to be enough hours in a day 🙁 -

KeymasterUpdate:
I’ve uploaded a new version of the translation tool to the download section.
Version 2.0 of the translation tool can be used to create translations using 16 bit characters, like in your case.Note that these translations can only be openen with Delftship version 4.38 or later, which has not been released yet. 😉

So, I’ll make new translation to russian — as soon as you’ll release 4.38. 🙂

ParticipantAs for me it does not impede, even to the contrary: it is rest to translate on Russian only 800 lines in ‘User’ section, then I’ll upload lang. file on your site. It would be extremely desirable to receive remarks and notes from the real shipbuilders, especially on sections unfamiliar to me – from the professional version which I never tried.

ParticipantYes, you are right. You maybe have seen the same picture in one of my previous messages. I guess that’s why author have released new Pro version and, I hope so, will release new Free version — ASAP.
If you are experienced user of Russian localization, you may help me to make correct interface translation — at first Pro (as it released already), and then it may be used for Free. You may write me directly at neudakhin@gmail.com (in Russian, sure! :))
Andrey.

Great. But I needeed Pro — just to drop a look at unknown menue items sometimes. BTW, menue “Project…” traditionally is not translated. 🙂
So, attached is Russian.lng, awaiting remarks and notes. And now I’ll return to Free… 🙂Attachments: -

Sorry, “Dislucky”, I rarely use DelftShip Free. I do not like new DS interface at all. I like how it looked in DS 3.20, but not a new one. I will stick with FREE!ship instead (it has everything I need for modeling and “old-good” interface I like).
New Russian localization for DSFree 4.38.129 seems to work now. Sorry, I cannot give any comments on the correctness of interface translation.

KeymasterDislucky,
It seems the hydrostatics report don’t support the new UTF16 strings.
I might have to adjust the report source code in order to show the correct data.
In the mean time I’ll also send you a pro version so you can check the rest of the data. -

ParticipantIt seems the hydrostatics report don’t support the new UTF16 strings.
Columns headers I translated also too wide… Whole table floats beyond right page margine. As those abbreviations are explainded below, I’ll make it shorter. A lot of four-letter words! 🙂

ParticipantI made some minor corrections in translation and condensed column headers. But table looks ugly both in Russian and Englisch.
Attached zipped russian.lng file and screenshot of table at ‘View – Hydrostatics…’ report.

Maybe changing page’s orientation from Portrait to Landscape (in report generator) will fix this problem? Does DS use fixed font for reports?

ParticipantNoppe, headers are ‘disconnected’ from table anyway, even if font changed to Courier.

KeymasterIt’s getting better, se the attached report.
It onle seems that some of the Russian words are too long to fit the columns.
Is that something that can be changed?Attachments: -

ParticipantAlready done, pls. try last version I’ve sent today.
