Hi, Well the subject says it all.
I want to cut out stations in an CNC but need to withdraw the planking thickness.
anyone that has an suggestion how it could be done?
Best Regards
Patrick
Hi,
you will need a 3rd party program to offset your frames eg AutoCad, Rhino 3d and there are many others. First save your model as a DXF file and import it into your preferred program.
I wonder if a scalar transformation by a scaling factor that is the ratio of B/2 minus plank thickness divided by B/2 in Y- direction and an analog one in the Z- direction by a scaling factor of Tdwl minus plank thickness divided by Tdwl wouldn’t do the job?
Or is this a too simplified, crude assumption?
Sounds all chinese to me deadwood but if it makes sense to you, go for it. Let us know how it turns out.
