What is the difference in Definition Wave Top and Wave Height in Hydrostatics ? What is the difference between the specified values in mathematical calculations and how to accurately set the values along the section of the wave?

From the manual:
DELFTship professional also calculates hydrostatic properties of a ship in a wave. The shape of the wave is a sinusoid with given length and height. In most cases the length of the wave will equal the ship length with the wave top at half the ships length
So the top is the location of the wave relative to the hull
