      Am I up a creek?
I would like to create a traditional deck camber, which in old school drafting is done with a method that approximates an ellipse (see the image).

When I use the Extrude Curved tool at Faces = 1, I get a “flat” deck, which generates a knuckle line down the middle. When I set Faces = 4, the deck spills over the center line but the port side is still “flat”.
      What am I missing?

Here is the cambered deck generated at Faces = 4. The control point mesh extends past the centerline, but not as far as where the starboard deck edge should be. The mesh seems to be curved on the starboard side only? And at the fore/aft ends, the centerline is high, as if the absolute value of camber height at midship (at 2% there) was applied all along the length.Cambered deck at Faces = 4

Something seems off in the way you have created your deck. There should not be control points on the starboard side.

The extruded deck should follow an arc with the number of faces that you have specified. It is not surprising that with 1 face the deck is flat. By extruding the deck from the hull towards the centerline with, say 6 or more faces, you should nd up with a perfectly circular (not elliptical) deck

Yes, something is off, but I cannot make it go away!

As I want the elliptical shape, I will just do it the hard way… or in another software…

      Thanks.
