ParticipantHi,
Previously when modifying nodes it was possible to right click and a drop down menu would appear with an option to de-select all the nodes, lines & surfaces
It’s not there in this latest version. Does anyone know where the option to de-select is? Right now I have to save, shut down and re-start to de-select, which isn’t ideal.
Thanks
Torgeir

ParticipantHello there, type “ESC” and that’s all for actual version. (deselects ALL features highlighted)
It works more or less as before but, yes it’s a poorer alternative for me too.
As other small functions lost, it could be something to restore in the future as software gremlings do a proper workout! -

Keymaster… it could be something to restore in the future…
It will be ( in some form- probably a button in the menu ribbon)

ParticipantHi, there’s a tip for Mr.Marteen:
It’s a bit complicate, well, typing ‘esc’ has the same effect as the late ‘deselect all’ option in the pop up right click menu, so maybe it does’nt deserve a full restore treatement.
But for some, I believe, good reasons, the de-selection of points of the grid has become tricky: when you have an array of points highlighted and you want to de-select just one, it happens that typing ‘Ctrl+click’ could set this a “fix” or “reference” point (traces of coordinates flashing) depending on the previous sequence of choice.
When working on some complicate part or cluster of edges on a corner it ‘s frustrating…
In late versions it was just >>point the tracker on it >>Ctlr>>click and Pff! Any point or edge or part of the mesh was de-selected “selectively” pardon the fuzz.
So it’s a game of opportunity: what can be accomplished at which expense.
I can state that it’s not a big priority, just a comfort feature.
Thank you for all.
Jurgen.
