ParticipantThis is probably a stupid question but i have been fairing my hull design & finally got my head round the control curves & turning them on & off with the curvature plots.
However i have lost all the control points except for the ones at the sheer & keel, now i cant do anything with it, Cant find what i have done in the manual. Any ideas ? -

ParticipantI cannot judge if your question is stupid, my answer, maybe.
Anyway, I’ve got some huge disasters learning to use DS, but I ever recovered my work using the magical buttons: “save” and “undo”.
By the far, scrolling down and up your design with “undo” and “redo”, let you know what really happens and will guide you to apprentice.
Just a small tip, nothing more.

ParticipantI would use the undo button, unfortunately its greyed out & doesnt do anything, Must be something obvious.

ParticipantStart again from scrap, take care on all steps.
control points are not allowed to vanish ( otherwise I’ll shoot them out ).
Only way possible for, is a deletion of edges or, a throw in the dustbin.
By the way I made a test sketch and brutalized it with the sillyest management of control curves that I could imagine: Nothing weird happened!
So, mate…
with regrets…

ParticipantInteresting! Fortunately the hull was so near finally faired that i had already exported the offsets.
So all was not lost, the hydrostatics was fine & displacement ok.
Anyway I have been lofting full size, a few small discrepancies here & there but on the whole pretty good. I was going to do this anyway but its saved my bacon.
Should finish tomorow then its start cutting molds out.
No wonder my hair has gone so grey.
Thanks for the advice! Next time i will be more careful! -
