      Hello!

      We are 3 students from Norway working on a project. We are building a small scale ship for a competition. We downloaded “Parent 27 – Supplier” (from http://www.delftship.net/designdatabase/showdetails.php?DetailsID=142)and got a problem with the hydrostatics in Freeship. We have tried everything, but can’t get the draft informatien below 5 m, even though the “design draft” is 6.204.

      I’m sorry guys, but we no longer support FREE!ship, it’s simply too old.
      Have you tried opening the vessel in the free version of DELFTship?
      DELFTship should not have any problems with the file.

      Check for leak-points in that area. FreeShip or DelftShip will stop calculating hydrostatics if find leak point below calculating waterline. Set small step for draft range.

      Or Try to change draft (small step at one time) in Project Settings and run hydrostatics report. See where it gives warning.

      Check all points on center-line. See if Y=0 there. If not, correct it.

      Hello, we used a function too find the leak points and it turned out it’s 32 of them.
      What do we do now?

      There doesn’t seem to be a picture, but I gather you don’t have a deck.
      You can close it by extruding the sheer line towards the center plane.

      No,the picture didn’t work… It said fake path when I used the browser to chose it, and manually writing the path didn’t work neither.

      Anyway, we found our leak point which was 0,007 (as far as I can remember) away from y=0. It was located at about the same height, maybe 0.5-1 m away from where the hydrostatics stopped calculating on the Z axis. In Freeship this was a green point between two grey points.
      Changing the location of the leak point to y=0 instead of y = 0.007 gave us the information we needed.
