  How can I open a view after I have closed it before?
  All new windows open in the Perspective view?

  Use the popup menu (right mouse button) or the shortcuts Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, Ctrl+3 or Ctrl+4 to switch views

  Yes, you can design any type of ship. Have a look at the database with downloadable ships in the download section. You can also get there by clicking on the image in the left column with the header “Latest model”
