ParticipantWe recently purchased your software and we are installing this on a off network that does not have internet access. Following the process outlined to generate an activation file that would be emailed. However the file generated is not something we could interpret as to what information was being included and our current policy prohibits us from being able to download something we can not confirm what is in the information captured.
Is there another means for how we can activate this SW for our use?
Thank You

KeymasterHi Bryan,
The activation request, or at least the part you can not interpret, is a digital signature of your machine hardware. As our licenses are bound to the specific hardware on which they are activated we need a way to identify it securely. This is also one of the reasons it is not a ‘clear text’ signature. The same data is used in the license file again, so DELFTship can determine it is indeed running on the machine for which it is activated.
While we do have a way to activate off-grid computers, the activation request file is required in order to activate and create your license file

ParticipantThank you for the reply with regards to the content within the activation request file.
I do have a follow up question. Our network has policies that require all information to be exported off must be reviewed by proper cleared individuals to verify what is being removed and to ensure that it in fact can be exported. Can you provide a detailed description of what machine information is being captured and is there any formal documentation that also can confirm this so we can determine if we can in fact provide this file.
If we deem this file can not be provided are there other options for still being able to activate this application for our use?
Thank You
Bryan

KeymasterUnfortunately we can not go into details regarding the activation process- the only thing I can say has been said: the activation request contains details on your license and the hardware used to generate the request.
If this is not acceptable you could consider installing a Floating license server on a hosted server. The license will then be based on the hardware of the server which is not in-house. This will require the Floating License extension though. The server can run with minimal specs.
