You can only do this by modeling each plank edge as a knuckle line (crease edge).
Once that has been done each plank can be moved to its own layer. Make sure the “developaple” property of the layer is set so the program knows it should be flattened.
Then flatten the plank to 2D in the “Plate developments” window. There’s only one downside, and it is that the free version does not export or print those developments.
