Knotian you could try this, I don’t know if it will work or not and I haven’t the time to try it myself.
Make your model and save it, scale it (trial and error)
and save it as a part, open your original and import the part (scaled hull) both should have there own control points. Save that one as well, so you will have 3 models, original, scaled and both, just in case you screw up or it doesn’t work. Let us know how it went.
