Gil,
Your comments just made me realize i need to revisit the “Intersections” tool in DELFTship. I think i was not appreciating it and not trying it out was not a good move on my part.
What you wrote prompted me to visit Proteus’ page, and when i read their Intersections tool para, i thought, “DARN, I didn’t adequately evaluate or use D/S’ intersections tool!”.
So, do i correctly understand that it’s possible to make a plane independent of the hull, and move that plane to where i want, and then trim the hull? If so, i’d surely like to attempt to create transverse bulkheads this way — without seeing marked increases or decreases (based on which direction i choose) in hull displacement.
