Thank you for the replies. I found a way of doing it in Delftship. Probably not as accurate as exporting the stations though. I add a number of new points and put them carefully on a station. Then I create a face using the new points. The new side of the face has to be split a number of times. Then adjust the new points to fit, select all the edges of the new face and extrude curve as much as is needed to acheive the correct dimension of the frame. Seems to work quite well.
