MIDSHIP SECTION MUST BE LOCATED AT THE MIDDLE OF THE LWL. BUT DEFTSHIP LOCATES IT AT THE MIDDLE OF LOA .

SO IT IS WRONG.

THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THIS FORMULA:
LCB [%]=100 * (LCB [m]- Midship location[m])/ LWL[m]
BUT THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT SOLUTION FOR LCB [%],

FOREXAMPLE IMAGINE A HULL.
LOA=10M
LWL=8M
THE DIST. FROM AFT END TO LWL STARTING POINT=0.5M

-ACCORDING TO DELFTSHIP THE MIDSHIP X COORDINATE IS 5M FROM AFT.(LOA/2)
-ACCORDING TO THE BOOK THE MIDSHIP X COORDINATE IS 4.5M FROM AFT.(0.5+LWL/2)

ISN’T IT CLEAR?
