Layer density and automatic weight calculation automatic DWL adjustement
I designed a sail boat.
This sail boat has a keel with a pre defined section “trapezoidal 66-0093”.
I define the density (steel) as 8087 (kg/m3) but then I have to calculate manually the thickness of the section by averaging the thickness of a typical section of this keel.
That would simplify if each layer of the type Keel could calculate automatically the weight of it (without entering the thickness) and adjust the gravity centre of the boat accordingly (moreover when keel’s sections are not homogeneous).
1. Any chance to see this functionality coming in the next release?
2. Any chance, by extension, that the DWL would dynamically been adjusted depending on the load of the hull? for example bear hull DWL = 0.250 hull+keel DWL = 0.570? and obviously displacement and stability figures adjusted as well. That would be fantastic!
Kind regards,
Sylvain
